Families behind Kurtis Kitchen & Bath say time is right to ReNewIt

Aaron Kuretzky, David Weintraub, Wayne Weintraub and Howard Kuretzky have grown the strong legacy that started with Kurtis Kitchen & Bath.

ReNewIt may sound like a new name in the business of home remodeling but the experts behind it brings more than 60 years of experience to every single project.

This is the latest venture by two generations of the two families who stand behind Kurtis Kitchen & Bath. And like the work they do, ReNewIt is ready to make a lasting impression.

When it’s time to refresh your kitchen or bathroom, this family-owned and operated business is ready to help with transformational cabinet refacing and painting options. Rather than committing to a traditional kitchen renovation, ReNewIt by Kurtis gives homeowners a more efficient, stress-free alternative with results that last.

Howard Kuretzky (L to R), Louis Kuretzky and Marty Kuretzky helped build the family business Kurtis Kitchen & Bath.

The business is led by David Weintraub and Aaron Kuretzky, whose families have fostered a solid reputation in Michigan home remodeling for nearly six decades.

Kuretzky’s father, Howard Kuretzky, joined the family business in 1969 with his brother Marty. Kurtis Kitchen & Bath was founded by their father, Louis Kuretzky a year earlier.

Aaron recalled begging his father to work at the shop when he was 14. He joined the team in 2000, bringing his solid work ethic to both the shop and warehouse. Aaron mastered every role in the company. He holds a deep understanding of installation, project management, sales and sales management.

“My grandfather started the business and my uncles, cousins and father all worked there,” Aaron says. “I wanted to prove that I could make a difference in this company like they did. My grandfather and father were always my inspiration.”

David Weintraub joined Kurtis Kitchen & Bath in 2014, two decades after his own father, Wayne Weintraub, began his tenure as Vice President of Operations.

Marty Kuretzky (L to R), Howard Kuretzky and Wayne Weintraub are members of two families behind Kurtis Kitchen & Bath.

Like Aaron, David’s memories of the family business stretch back to his childhood. He remembers going to company-wide picnics and to work with his father - where he could be found cleaning the computer screens for the whole staff. David Weintraub was inspired to join the family business and be part of something that has lasted generations. He was drawn to the opportunity to work alongside his family members and to make an impact throughout his career.

“We are committed to doing everything we can to uphold the legacy and ensure that every member of our team has the opportunity to build a career and support their families” David says.  “All the choices we make don’t just affect my family, but all of theirs”

Aaron credits his father Howard - as well as David’s father, Wayne Weintraub - for serving as great mentors while he learned all aspects of the business.

Both he and David keep their fathers’ words of wisdom close in all they do.

“How you do something is how you do everything,” says David, echoing sound advice from his father, Wayne Weintraub.

Howard Kuretzky, (L to R), Louis Kuretzky and Aaron Kuretzky are three generations of leaders for Kurtis Kitchen & Bath.

Aaron says his dad, Howard Kuretzky, taught him to remain honest and humble.

That’s the way these two families have always run Kurtis Kitchen & Bath. And those strong values also apply to the work done at ReNewIt by Kurtis.

“Our long history as a value-driven family business has always been the cornerstone of who we are,” says Aaron. “We strive to do what’s right for our staff and our clients. We want to bring the best experience and a family atmosphere to everyone that works here and works with us.”

David agrees. He says he feels the Kurtis name is well-known in the community and that their history of accountability - doing the job right – has made all the difference. With ReNewIt, they remain actively involved owners with a proven track record in the industry.

As David says: “ReNewIt is all about efficiency, cost savings and ease of life.”
